Immunity to Change | on the edge

on the edge (7)

The problem with change is our inability to close the gap between what we genuinely, even passionately, want and what we are actually able to do – the disjunction between our increased understanding of the need for change and our lack of understanding as to what prevents it (231).

We can learn and reflect as much as we want, but the change we hope for will not happen because all the learning and reflecting will occur within our existing mindsets (279).

We have ignored the most powerful source of ability; our capacity to overcome the limitations and blind spots of current ways of making meaning (289).
